Getting to the Workshop

Note: If you are traveling for the workshop, we ask that you please stay at the workshop venue.  We have obtained a special rate; you can book your hotel here.  The link defaults to two nights' stay, 9/26-9/28; if you want a different set of dates, please modify your reservation prior to booking.

Air Travel:

The nearest airport is Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI).  Reagan National Airport (DCA) in Washington, DC is a secondary option.

Train:

Baltimore's Penn Station is 1.5 miles from the hotel.

Ground Transportation:

The Hotel Monaco is approximately 11 miles from BWI.  For-hire car service one-way fares average about $33.00.

Public transit service via the Maryland Area Regional Commuter (MARC) is available from BWI to Penn Station, which is 1.5 miles from the hotel.   Depending on the number of intermediate stops, the trip can take between 15-40 minutes.

Public transit service from DCA is available via the Maryland Area Regional Commuter (MARC) and the Washington Metro (WMATA).  DCA is located on the WMATA Yellow line.  Take the yellow line (toward Fort Totten) to the Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro Station.  Take a red line train (toward Wheaton/Glenmont) to the Union Station Metro Station.  the MARC Penn Line runs from Union Station to Baltimore's Penn Station.  (commute time estimate is 1.5 hours, not including time waiting at train stations).
